Majestic Colonial Punta Cana

So I spent April 14th to April 21st at the lovely Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana for the Annual Travel Agent Next Door Conference. I stayed in the Colonial Club section which included our own private club where we could sit and relax and grab a quick bite to eat. I also had my first butler suite experience.
Now we started working Saturday night when we arrived and had very little down time until the Friday, the first day I actually saw the Beach, and I left late Saturday. So while I did not see my butler often he was great leaving us notes and treats along the way and taking care of restaurant reservations the one night we did not have a meal with the group. Freddy actually apologized on Saturday when we were leaving as he is used to seeing his clients more and making sure everything is going smoothly. Needless to say if I make it back to the resort, hard to say as my bucket list is so long I will definitely be requesting Freddy and requesting him for my clients as well.
The room was awesome as well. Two large poster beds, a couch and coffee table, A desk and chair, a large balcony, a Jacuzzi tub, a shower built for 2 or more and a large counter with a two sinks. Closet space was ample and the safe worked. A wall screen tv no idea if it worked as we never turned it on once. But yes there is a but and that is the toilet, it was like being in a very small closet with no room to move and yes I have discussed my rather large body size but even the "skinny"people found it to be too close for comfort. They honestly could have reduced the shower size and given more to the toilet section. I did miss seeing the rooms at the Elegance but I did get to see a room at the Mirage. The Mirage had a half bathroom at the front of the the room, desk and chair, couch coffee table and a like a bar table and chairs and then a door to a second room which has the king size bed and a another full bathroom with soaker tub, shower and toilet. I could definitely stay in a room like that.
All 3 of the Majestic Resorts have a club section which is the adult only section which means you must be 18 plus. This does not mean there are no kids at the Majestic they just can not enter your room area or the pool areas that are adult only. The restaurants, shops and shows are open to all.
